Manchester city’s Spanish manager Pep Guardiola is looking forward to making history with Manchester City in Champions league.

Manchester City has never won champions league before. Pep Guardiola has a chance make a history with them, this year they have reached semifinals after eliminating Bayern Munich with a 4-1 aggregate.

In the semifinal they are going to face Real Madrid. Real Madrid is a threat to them because last year they eliminated them in semifinals. Manchester City has been in the champions league semifinals for three years in a row under Pep Guardiola.

Pep Guardiola said that he thinks all the clubs in the world have a feeling if you want to win this competition you have to beat Real Madrid. Below is the video of Pep Guardiola.

“I’m so happy to be three years in row in the Champions League semi-finals. 4-1 doesn’t show what was in the two games, I know how good they are, the physicality and ideas, I’m always impressed. In          this competition it’s details,” added Pep.

Even though Manchester City has never won Champions League, but Pep has won it. He won it twice while he was a Barcelona manager.

The only manager to have won the tournament on four occasions is Carlo Ancelotti. Bob Paisley and Zinedine Zidane have won the tournament on three occasions. Paisley led Liverpool to three titles in five seasons, Ancelotti won four titles and reached five finals with Milan and Real Madrid, and Zidane won three consecutive titles with Real Madrid. Seven men have won the tournament both as a player and as a manager, namely Miguel Muñoz, Giovanni Trapattoni, Johan Cruyff, Ancelotti, Frank Rijkaard, Pep Guardiola and Zidane

The first legs of Champions League will be played on Tuesday 9 and Wednesday 10 May 2023 with the return legs Tuesday 16 and Wednesday 17 May 2023.
